WHO WE ARE
We are a team of two professional architectural photographers based in New York City. For several decades we have been photographing architecture for design firms, institutions, and private clients. Early adopters of the digital darkroom, our workflows preserves the integrity of real places, avoiding the artificial look of rendered or AI-generated imagery.

Ruggero has photographed architecture since the early 1980s. Valentina joined him in the early 1990s, and they have worked together ever since. Alongside assignments in the United States, we have traveled extensively to photograph contemporary and historic architecture worldwide. Over time, this work has grown into an archive of more than 100,000 images, represented by

.
Our approach to architectural photography is shaped by parallel interests in art and architectural history. Ruggero’s background as a painter sharpens his sense of composition and balance, while Valentina’s studies in art and architectural history provide a broader understanding of space. Together, these perspectives inform photographs that are grounded and attentive to architectural intent.
HOW WE WORK
Each assignment starts with a brief conversation to understand what matters most in the design, what the images will be used for, and what constraints we need to respect on site. From there we propose a clear scope and fee tailored to your budget. We will schedule around light and availability, and work efficiently with a small footprint.

From there we propose a clear scope and fee tailored to your budget. We will schedule around light and availability, and work efficiently with a small footprint.
We favor working with a generous range of views, allowing you to make final selections for postproduction once the full set is visible. For clients with multiple projects scheduled over a short period, we offer customized pricing designed to streamline production and maximize value. Scheduling is coordinated around light and availability, typically with a priority date and a backup date in case weather conditions shift.
On the day of the shoot, we encourage clients to be present whenever possible. While we review a shoot list in advance, being on site allows priorities to be refined in real time. Proofs are delivered within two working days, with final high-resolution files following promptly via digital transfer. For first-time clients, we offer the reassurance of not charging if expectations are not met.
WHY US
Clients often tell us the reason they come back is simple: the process feels easy. We approach each project as a collaboration, not a performance, staying flexible and responsive as conditions change. When challenges arise—as they inevitably do—we treat them as problems to solve together, rather than reasons to slow a project down or complicate it.

We approach each project as a collaboration, not a performance, staying flexible and responsive as conditions change. When challenges arise—as they inevitably do—we treat them as problems to solve together, rather than reasons to slow a project down or complicate it.
Our way of working favors efficiency and restraint. We rely on the natural and artificial light already present, combining exposures carefully in postproduction to maintain balance and atmosphere. This keeps the shoot light on its feet, minimizes disruption to occupants, and allows us to work through a broader range of views without introducing heavy setups or unnecessary delays.
Ultimately, our role is to translate three-dimensional architecture into photographs that communicate clearly to someone who may never experience the space in person. We focus on reinforcing the ideas and decisions that matter most to the design, producing images that are accurate, durable, and expressive—while keeping the entire process smooth, efficient, and respectful of everyone involved.
