Our studio is based in NYC. We photograph Architecture Interiors, Architecture Exteriors, Commercial Spaces as well as Real Estate Properties for private clients.
Ruggero has been photographing architecture since the early 1980s and transmitted his passion to Valentina who soon followed his steps starting photographing in the early 1990s. We are both pioneers of the “digital darkroom”. This means that we know how to shoot images that will yield the best results in computer postproduction, paying particular attention to avoid creating images that look like renderings.

They are both pioneers of the “digital darkroom”. This means that they know how to shoot images that will yield the best results in computer postproduction, paying particular attention to avoid creating images that look like renderings.
Aside from photographing in the United States, we have been travelling around the world photographing Contemporary Architecture and Historic Architecture. As a result we have built an archive of over 100,000 images from around the globe, represented by leading stock agencies Art Resource and Corbis.
Our architectural photography is enriched by our other experiences. For Ruggero it is painting that he studied at Cooper Union and has honed his sense of composition. Valentina’s Master’s degree in History of Art ad Architecture from the University of Siena, Italy, gives her an understanding of space through an historical perspective.
Every project is very personal and first we need to understand what are your priorities and interests through a brief phone conversation or detailed email. Once we have a clear comprehension of the scope of work we will email you a precise quote of the time and costs involved for the photo-shoot.
Typically we like to include 2 pricing options: a pay per view option with a predetermined number of views on the outset and focusing in containing costs as much as possible. And a pay per day option privileging the range of views to choose from over the containment of the photography cost.

Typically we like to include 2 pricing options: a pay per view option with a predetermined number of views on the outset and focusing in containing costs as much as possible. And a pay per day option privileging the range of views to choose from over the containment of the photography cost. Should you have several projects to photograph within a short time span, we offer customized pricing designed to maximize your investment.
Once you give us the green light, we look at the weather forecast and based on availability we pick 2 dates: a “priority” date and a “rain” date in the event that the weather at first doesn’t cooperate.
On the day of the photo-shoot we recommend for you to be present. Although we will ask you to provide us beforehand with a shoot list with all the elements you want us to focus on, being on site will give you an extra edge to curate all aspects that are important for you.
We will email you the proofs for your review within 2 working days. The final high-res files are then transfered to you via DropBox within 2 working weeks.
We understand that entrusting your project to a photographer with whom you never worked before represents a leap of faith. For this reason we grant our first time clients the option of not being charged should they not be satisfied of the final photography.
Why us? All we can say is what our clients tell us they highly appreciate about us.
They value that in every step of the process we make a point of being extremely flexible and collaborative, addressing any obstacle that may arise prior or during the photo-shoot as a challenge to be solved creatively, not by charging extra fees.
They appreciate that we use the natural and artificial lights available on site, then combining them in postproduction through a calibrated selection of several different exposures.

This approach, they say, gives them images that capture their original design more accurately. At the same time the photo-shoot is streamlined in a “light footprint”, avoiding time consuming setups and disturbance to the owners of the space, working more efficiently and taking more views.
We believe that our job is to capture images that explain three-dimensional spaces in a two-dimensional format for someone who will probably never see it in reality. We use our expertise to take photographs that reinforce the elements and themes that our clients finds important. Our goal is to take iconic pictures of real spaces, while keeping the process as smooth and effortless as possible for our clients and our client's clients.
